Approved by Pembrokeshire County Council with a nationwide reputation for good quality, healthy puppies, Castellan House Kennels is a long established, family run kennels open daily for viewing (except Mondays), we have featured on BBCTV, who did a profile of our kennels on Week in Week Out, showing how you should choose your new puppy.
All of our puppies are vet checked and vaccinated with the first part of the primary vaccination before they leave us at 8 weeks or after, they will need one further vaccination at 10 weeks, our puppies are insured for 4 weeks with Petplan, they are wormed every two weeks from birth using Panacur wormer over a three day period, they are front lined regularly and paper trained and will leave us with a Pedigree puppy pack and full details of their diet (which should not be changed until they are at least 12 weeks of age), we are always available to offer help and advice both before and after you have purchased your puppy.
All of our puppies may be seen with both mother and father, and we do not offer stud services in order to keep to the very minimum any risk of infection to our puppies.
Our puppies are very well socialised and used to children (many thanks to all our grandchildren and their friends - who do an excellent job with puppies!)
We much prefer you to come and visit us, to choose your puppy and see puppy's parents, but we also appreciate that for varying reasons this is not always possible, we are able to email photos of puppies and we do have the services of a professional, licenced pet courier, who offers a one to one personal service, in some cases we may be able to deliver puppy ourselves, and we can supply numerous references from happy puppy owners over the years!

Hi Tessa & Co.
Just an update about our Miniature Schnauzer "Sasha" purchased from you 3 weeks ago. As you will see by the attached pictures she has grown a lot & is thriving. She loves the garden & has already met many of our friends. An outgoing & very sociable dog she is a pleasure to own.
She has had all her jabs now & is being socialised into the big world.Considering she was a Mini ,Mini Schnauzer nothing much phases her which we put down to partly her character & also the excellent upbringing she had at "Castellan".
We were very impressed with your kennels & are more than happy with our girl.We are also promoting Castellan whenever we can as we thought the whole set up was very impressive.
Here's to many more years with Sasha, will keep you updated with her progress.
Many thanks once again.
Regards
Geraldine & Terry Smith.(South Wales)

she now sleeps all night without a whimper.
she took her first bath on Saturday and she was fine.
we have booked her in to the vet for next Saturday to get her booster injections done and she will be chipped at the same time.

Hello,
Just emailing to let you know how little Sam the Cavapoo is getting on since bringing him home on the 14th of January. He has settled in well and is always extremely playful and happy to see everybody. His toilet training is coming along nicely, took a bit of time but he is now asking to go out by jumping up at the back door which I'm very pleased about.
His current favourite toy is sausages on a rope which he absolutely loves to jump up at and chase around (have attached pictures of him in action!).
We went to our first puppy training class last Sunday at Barnlake House. Sam was really shy and nervous at first but it didn't take long for him to find his feet and start running around playing with the other pups.
Everybody really loves Sam, can't imagine our family without him now.
Kind Regards,

hi
puppies were good on journey home slept most of it, they settled quite well , ate and drank well and bugged Mitzee all the time when we got in , following her around everywhere and crying when she went upstairs as they cannot manage the stairs yet!!
they slept ok and I was up at 2.30 and 4.30 settled them back down till 7ish so not too bad!
Hardy is brilliant at doing a wee as soon as he goes in the garden and is a poo machine !! Lillie is v good too but we have had a few accidents on the way to garden, they love the grass and running about with Mitzee.
they are all getting on really well and Mitzee is no longer sulking. They love the toys we have bought and they love running with Mitzee when she fetches the ball. We got a load of attention today at pets at home when we got their id tags.
I have registered with my vet and they are booked in to puppy classes on Thursdays in March and April and they will be having jabs and chips on 28th of this month.
I will send some photos when they grow a little bigger,
regards and thank you so much we are all so much in love with them already

I just want to say how my Bertie is {a year old next month!} an absolute joy. Such a sweet natured dog and he's beautiful - a credit to Toffee his Mum. I'm sorry I've not sent photos of him but I'm hopeless with a camera. However, I am very grateful to you for all your hard work and support when I first had him - I know I must have been an absolute pain to you, but I was so nervous!
Anyway, thankyou for my Bertie and I'm sure Mrs Clare will be just as thrilled with her little pup when she gets her, I know she's very excited at the prospect.
Yours sincerely, Janice Camp and Bertie!!

Hi Tess
Just wanted to let you know how delighted we are with Marley (Doris and Puddles black cavapoo boy) . He has settled in well, although did cry at night for the first week ,despite classic fm being played. He is an absolute joy and is doing very well with his toilet training.
He is due for his second injection tomorrow and then puppy training a week later, so a busy schedule is planned. Marley meets up with his brother from time to time but has a totally different temperament! Alfie, his brother, is very lively while Marley is more chilled out (until 10pm when he runs around like a mad thing!)
Thank you for all your advise upon collection. We now feel that our family is complete again after 5 years without a dog.
Hope all is well with you

Hi Tessa,
Just wanted to let you know that Chica has settled in nicely, she's got used to the crate very quickly & is eating/drinking well.
We've had so much fun with her already, who needs tv?! So far she's terrorized our poor cat & has tried to eat everything out in the back garden.
Thanks for everything

Hi Teresa
Just a quick note to let you know how Chi-Chi is getting on. She is adorable, what a beautiful nature she has, she has become the centre of attention, with all the family (I haven't had so many visitors in ages!). She is doing well with the house training and has settled well at night, and she can sit and stay already after only one week. She has had her final injections, and the vet said that she was very healthy. She has already met some of my families' dogs in our garden, and many, many children, which she has taken all in her stride. I would definately recommend her breed as a family pet and I can't remember what life was like without her, I am a total convert!
Kind regards
Lynne Palmer

Hi Tessa
Ruby will be a year old tomorrow, as you can see she has grown into a lovely dog.
She settled in really quickly, and is great fun to have around. She is a very loving and loyal dog, and just loves meeting people.
The picture was taken on our first holiday with Ruby. It was on a campsite and she really enjoyed it, must have worn her out though, as she lay down and slept for nearly 24 hours!!
The cat was not too impressed with our new addition, especially as the new puppy just wanted to chase and play with him. But he is now used to her, and even chases her back occaisionally.
We really are glad we decided to get a dog, and could not have picked a better one. We could not imagine life without her now.
Many Thanks
Alison and Pete Mitchell.

Hi Tessa
I just wanted to say that our 'yoodle' puppy (Luigi) that we bought from you on 5th June has continued to be absolutely gorgeous. From the moment we picked him up from you he snuggled into the children and now sits on the bottom stair awaiting their return from days out. He has fitted into our family as if he should have always have been there. We get stopped all the time asking what breed he is and how friendly he is to everyone!
He won the waggiest tail competition at Pets @ Home last week!
Best wishes and many thanks for giving him such a good start in life. I've mentioned your website to many friends

Hi Tessa,
Just a quick message to let you know spike is settling in really well.. He is such a bouncy happy chap.. We adore him already. He had his vet check and jab today an made quite a few fans judging by the ooo's and aah's and the 'isnt he the cutest' comments. He took the journey well considering it was his first Car ride, we had a few sickie moments but nothing too bad. He has only had one accident in the house and sleeping really well at night too. I hope the c section on weds went well XXX The photo i attach shows spike deciding to fall asleep on our vets phone lol x

Hi there,
We picked up our lovely puppy Indy from you in October last year! We thought we'd write to let you know how she's getting on!
We got her home and she seemed to settle in straight away! We didn't hear a peep off her during the nights and we still don't know!
She is now coming up to 8 months old and she is growing into a loving little dog and all the family love her very much!
Have a nice day

Hey Tessa, just to let you know bellas first night with us was really good, she slept until 1:30 in the morning then woke me up but she had already pee'd and pooed on her puppy mat which I was very impresed with, she then woke me up at 6 to go pee outside. She's been really playful. I'll send you some pictures of her. Thank you ever so much for such a lovely puppy.

Dear Tessa
We have now had Gypsy for a week. She has settled in well. She seems quick to learn and seems happy. Growing like a weed and thriving. She only cried for a few minutes the first 2 nights, since when she has been perfect. Not happy in the car but we hope to overcome that problem in time. Pronounced fully fit by the vet who was impressed that you had provided all essential information (it seems that doesn't always happen!)
Thank you for your patience with all our questions AND a delightful puppy who is much admired by everyone.
Yours
Anne Belton

Hi! Just wanted to send you a picture of our lovely Flora who is now 17 weeks old. She is a wonderful addition to our family, so friendly, funny and loveable. She has obviously been socialised with lots of people and dogs in her first few weeks as she is not afraid of anyone or any dog! She is an absolute dream and we all love her dearly. From the moment she arrived here she seemed calm and settled, no nerves whatsoever. She is a complete charmer, everyone who meets her falls in love with her.
Kind regards
Tracey

Hello Mummy Tessa
It has been almost a week now since I left my home in South Wales and thought it was about time I wrote and let you know how I'm getting on.
Having chosen my new Mummy and Daddy (Mummy tells everyone I did that and I think she may be right.......) The journey home was very long, I whimpered for about ten to fifteen minutes but Mummy cuddled, stroked and spoke to me all the way and it made me feel a lot better, I wasn't sick and I didn't pee or anything! I found a little toy cat in the car and I cuddled into it and my new Mummy!
When we arrived at my new home I was greeted by Bitzie the cat, she is 19 and very deaf! I wagged my tail and tried to be nice but she decided to go behind the sofa, we didn't see her for a few days, Mummy said she was sulking! but she is now coming out and watching me, well studies me really! I think she now wants to be my friend but she scares me! I play safe and and keep out of her way, I think we will be fine, Bitzie rules the roost................for now! What is a cat anyway????
I am eating well, Mummy is feeding me pedigree at the moment. She mixes a little meat with the biscuits which I really like, I tend to pick the meat out first and then go back for the dry food! Oh and I sneak some of Bitzie's cat food when no one is looking - I keep hearing the word 'no' and am just starting to understand what it means!
I am walking very well on the lead which is really impressing Mummy and Daddy although I never walk very far and only for short periods! I almost walk to heal and even when they let me off the lead I walk with them or just behind them - they think I'm great and very clever because they haven't taught me anything I do it all on my own! I impress them even more when I stop for a sniff, they carry on walking but as soon as they call me I run to them and sit by their feet - just how clever am I! They really do love me and do you know what? I do them too! I have met all of the family now and lots of people have come to meet me and have brought me presents, they all love me too - I think I will be very happy and I keep hearing Mummy and Daddy say how happy I have made them!
Tomorrow I am going to the vets to register and have a check up, Mummy & Daddy want to have a chat and get advice form the vet
- they want to make sure they are doing everything right for me. I must tell you though they have renamed me BeBe! Daddy tried really hard to call me Boo Boo but it just didn't happen so BeBe it is - Mummy thought of it as it is short for Bluebell!
Anyway Mummy and Daddy want to say thank you to you for providing them with the most beautiful Pup - the most beautiful girl in the world! I think that's me.............
I will keep in touch
Lots of tail wagging and licks
BeBe xx
